Unread post Barrel/breech block leak..
Hi guys, need some help please!
My HW100 has developed a leak from the block through the barrel. When filling the cylinder (A&M K cylinder - very happy with it, made a huge difference, shame about the gauge!), can fill the cylinder to about 40/50 bar when air starts hissing through the barrel.. Opened it up, o rings (or123 & or132) both fine, changed anyway. New o ring on filler port. The only one I haven't done yet is the one in the middle of the filling port (or129). Could this be the problem? Much appreciated for any info!
Previous posts/how to's.. Point me in the direction! Cheers..

you can lap the valve block with 3M fine lapping film i used yellow. Can make a funnel from it i think last time i used a pencil sharpened end to support it. And it worked.
Maybe you can spin the white valve stem with some abrasive paste to make it fit the valve block if you chuck it into a hand drill. if it is not broken completely.
john kibbs and chambers sell the valve block and the valve stem/seal, not to dear. i think they are calibre specific because when i ordered last time i had to specify that.

the one i hand lapped starts holding pressure only over a certain pressure, i.e. it will dump air if i go too low on the cylinder, indicating it is not perfect fit. but it works.

you can clean it/lap it or just replace it.

if there is no other obstruction there like a double o ring (maybe the white ptfe one) preventing the valve to shut, it should work if you clean it. it is possible it is cracked, if the shape is deformed you may not necessarily see it visually damaged.

if you look on this http://forum.gunshop.cz/weihrauch-hw100 ... -2160.html
diagram, they say it can be leak type 5 which is the 12 ID o ring.

so it can be the knock open valve itself or that o ring.

Think I've found the problem, oring in brass filling block is cream crackered (or129)...
Does anyone know what size this is? Think I've got all others apart from this one! Cheers..

Err That would be item "C" in the link that Kris provided above then buddy ! a 7x1.5mm or
Later models this was done away with and replaced with item "i" (14x1.5mm)

Also air coming from your barrel will not stop by replacing the OR 129 Oring
As already stated by Kris it is either the valve pin (item 9) or the Oring (item e) 12x1mm thats the cause of the leak from the barrel
As far as i can see there is no other path for the Air to follow to reach the barrel !
Keep us updated

Cheers guys, my bad, looking at schematic wrong, think I've found the problem, there is an oring behind the brass fitting, 14x1.5 i/d, this is the one that has perished.. valve pin boring fine, changed anyway.
Also, where the 14x1.5 oring is, behind this, coming from behind/inside the block, there are metal splinters/wire strands? Should these be there? What would they be?

Nasty is that but as the main valve is brass and the reg ally the steel may have come from the bush sleeve area or maybe off the A&M cylinder when you fitted it
However you dont want any of those slivers in the reg a very thorough cleaning of the reg and all its components is required now
If the valve pin is all good and seating correctly ! then it is the 12x1mm Oring ! As Kris already said previously
Give it a really good clean twice all those slivers need to be gone

Cheers Scrinja.. Already got orings on order..
Don't know where the slivers come from.. Isn't the A&M cylinder ally? Will have a look in the morning, on the town at the mo.. Tried with fine pliers and tweezers, no joy..

Any ideas on the marks on the valve pin?
