Anybody know about this got one on its way today
I just loved it the moment i saw it
any information at all on the HW85 Mk1 would be appreciated guys its a .22 manufactured in 1985
Quite rare im told

Brilliant rifle,the real 85 with the raised scope rail .
It looks in good nick & seems like its had a barrel chop
Launched in August 1986 with the first batch from H.C in September.

Later model MK1 was the Deluxe with longer curved for end & cheek piece with checkering & pistol cap very much like the 77,the stock then became standardised with the breach exposed.This stock style stayed on to the HW95.

HW85 MK1 has 4 stock version's in total if you include the first batch angular non checkered version & the checkered pistol grip version.

This model came out about the same time as the BSF buy out by HW.

Me also Mick i asked Chris @ H/C and he is in the dark regarding the amount made of various models of the 85
I will email Weihrauch and see if they can shed any light on it (fingers crossed)

Yep he has one hell of a collection with some rare & beautiful rifles.Have a look at his HW55T collection :D

That 85 is the Deluxe model.

I have one of these which I had the full works done to it by Steve Pope,imo this model was their best model
When it came to power to weight ratio..

Venom did a nice conversion the 85 a rare beast called the Venom Sidewinder with 10" barrel & mod.

hi there early ones same as mk1 80 stock no checkering on the stocks both got raised scope rails the .177 is a k and untouched yet to be tuned may get them both vmached

These as others will benefit from a tune but try to keep one as close to original as possible.These are getting harder to find in good nick.
