It seems that most professionals keep both eyes open when using aperture sights. I find that I have a better view of the target by doing this but experience some difficulty keeping my eyes focused for more than a few seconds. Is there some trick I'm missing? Using a blinker - as in has2baspringer's...

RWS Superfield 4.52 AA Diabolo 4.52 They might be useless in your rifle, though. I'm afraid it's going to be a case of trial and error, but once you find something that works well, don't get tempted to try and find something "A bit better". That road can drive you mad .... and skint, too. ;)

Gas rams generally have a sharp recoil cycle, which takes a bit of getting used to, but it certainly wouldn't be a deal breaker for me if something like a Theoben Fenman or HW90 came along at the right price. ;)

My guess would be that it will ease off after a couple of tins of pellets, but I don't suppose a drop or two of oil will do any harm either. ;)
