For HFT it pays to get the scope as low as possible as it closes up aim points on close targets. Need to consider head position. Since the comb on the 77 is quite low you may well be ok with lows. Can you try before you buy?

Nope. FT is all about altering px. As you say, HFT can't be altered.

I have an HW100, love the gun but Weihrauch customer service sucks! Thinking of an S510 US AND an HFT 500 from Air Arms or an LG110 FT. Since the LG110 is so expensive, I can get the two Air Arms guns for about 1000.oo less than the price of the LG110FT. I know the LG110's are very precise guns but...
